In his doctoral studies (PhD, University of Manitoba, 1996), he specialized in the social dynamic interactions between effective teaching behaviours and university student learning outcomes. Since joining the University of Manitoba in 1999, his primary responsibilities have included the development of a future professoriate and professional school faculty, coordination of the first-year experience, graduate training, and research.
