Faculty ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marilla Svinicki Professor and Chair Department of Educational Psychology University of Texas Austin, Texas, USA msvinicki@mail.texas.edu Marilla Svinicki earned her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado and then taught at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. In 1973 she moved to Texas and joined a research project on computer-based education and the Center for Teaching Effectiveness at the University of Texas at Austin. She rose to the level of director of the center and worked there for 30 years. She recently retired from CTE and is now a Full Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology. Dr. Svinicki is a Past President of the POD Network and the editor of New Directions for Teaching and Learning.
