She is also Associate Professor of Higher Education and Student Affairs at Indiana University. Previously, Dr. Chism was Director of faculty and TA development at The Ohio State University. She has been involved in academic development since 1985. Dr. Chism is a Past President of the POD Network. She is the author of thirty edited books, book chapters, and journal articles on teaching and learning in higher education and developing faculty and teaching assistants as teachers, with particular emphasis on multicultural teaching and program evaluation. She presents and consults regularly on improving college teaching and evaluating development efforts.
